Hope Borghi speaking: Everything in school is using your hands. They do art work, they print, they do crafts. Almost all of the school… they take books off the shelves and turn the pages. So for all of the kids in the normal classroom, they have to use their hands.

Reporter's voice-over: Ten-year-old Kathryn is in a class with other students her age. The computer helps her do things like the other kids.

Hope speaking again: For her it was nice to have the computer to show the kids that she has as much to offer as they do.

Hope Borghi speaking: I really believe that if you create the situation where you tell the professionals 'this is working, this is helpful,' if you justify your position correctly, if it's really truly worthwhile for the kids, they will use it.
