Examples of Technology to Support Strategy

Students who have trouble with higher-level strategic skills benefit from supports for the generation, organization, and elaboration of ideas for writing. The UDL approach can help teachers select technology tools that support the elements of apprenticeship (modeling, supported practice, individual feedback, and opportunities to demonstrate mastery) and allow individualization to accommodate learners' varied strategic strengths and weaknesses. Some examples illustrate.
