Finding Digital Content

Students with disabilities are entitled to curriculum materials that are accessible and effective for them to learn. This section is a source of digital text, images, sounds, and movies that can be used to create flexible text.

  • CAST eText Spider
    The eText Spider helps you locate public domain electronic texts at a variety of sources.

  • Obtaining Digital Materials
    Students with disabilities are entitled by Federal laws (especially the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) to curricular materials that are most effective for them. Universally designed curriculum has digital content as its core, enabling greater access possibilities for all students, as well as, those with disabilities. This section describes the types of digital materials that are available and how to obtain them.

  • Digital Media
    Digital media are inherently transformable. This section describes the ways in which digital media are flexible and versatile.
