Adding Words to the Magnet Board from My Words

The Magnet Board is a flexible tool for manipulating letters and words. Students use words from the My Words list or the Scholastic Words list. They can move tiles around to build phonics skills and experiment with sound, spelling, and meaning relationships within and across words.

The start of the word will appear where the cursor is, so be sure that is in the right place.

Open the My Words list or the Scholastic Words list. Click the mouse on the word you want to add to highlight it. Both the + and - buttons on bottom of the list turn blue. Click the + button to add the word to the Magnet Board.
