CAST Products
As a result of CAST's R&D, thousands of classrooms now use leading-edge, UDL-based products, including:
 |
CAST eReader™
CAST eReader combines the most powerful features of talking and reading software to make text more accessible to struggling readers and students with disabilities. Available in both Windows and Macintosh versions, eReader adds spoken voice, visual highlighting, and document or page navigation to any electronic text, including the Internet, word processing files, and scanned or typed-in text.
In February 2004, CAST entered into an agreement with Aequus Technologies to develop and produce future versions of eReader.

Thinking Reader™
Thinking Reader is the first software program to use the unabridged text of core literature -- popular children's novels such as Roll of Thunder and The Giver -- to give students instruction and practice in scientifically proven reading strategies. Based on CAST's research into digital learning environments and the research of renowned reading experts, Thinking Reader gives struggling readers and special-needs students built-in comprehension supports, enabling them to learn from and enjoy the same high quality stories as their peers.
Produced and distributed by Tom Snyder Productions™, a division of Scholastic Inc.
