Policy & Practice: National Center on Accessing the General Curriculum

NCAC Logo.In a collaborative agreement with the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Programs (OSEP), CAST has established the National Center on Accessing the General Curriculum to provide a vision of how new curricula, teaching practices, and policies can be woven together to create practical approaches for improved access to the general curriculum by students with disabilities.

There is a growing awareness of the transformative power of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the need for accessible materials. CAST's R&D is having an impact on education policies and practices, and it helps to extend the reach of NCAC through professional development and innovative evidence-based educational products.
