Using Site Tools
Activating a Tool
The "Site Tools" drop down list box that appears at the top left corner of every page on the site gives you full control over the number of tools that you want to make available at any given time. All active tools will appear directly under the "Site Tools" drop down box.
To activate any single tool from the list:
- Using the mouse: Click anywhere on drop down list. Use the scroll bar to move up and down the list. Click on the tool you want to use.
- Using the keyboard: Use the tab keys to give focus to the drop down list then use ALT-Down Arrow to display the list. Use the up and down arrows to move the tool you want to use and then press the "Enter" key.
Selecting a tool will automatically open the tool and bring it to the top of the tool column.
Using the Tool Controls
Every tool that is active in the tool column has three common controls which appear at the top of the tool.
- Close Tool (the minus sign icon): this will remove the tool from the tool column.
- Move to Top (the up arrow icon): this will move the tool to the top of the tool column.
- Help (the question mark icon): This will move you to the help page for the tool.
Closing All Tools
If you would like to remove all tools from your screen you can select "Close All" from the "Site Tools" drop down list. This will allow the site content to be displayed across the full width of your browser window. You can then use the "Site Tools" drop down to re-activate the closed tools.
