Mei Kennedy, M.A., joined CAST in 2001 as an Instructional Designer, a role
that draws on her expertise in needs assessment, system design and
development, distance learning, and learning/behavior theory models. Among
other responsibilities, Ms. Kennedy is assisting in the development of the
Teaching Every Student section of CAST's Universal Learning Center Web site.
Most recently, Ms. Kennedy was Academic Web Designer/Trainer at Gallaudet University, where she provided training and support to faculty and students in developing and maintaining the University's Web presence. Prior to her stint at Gallaudet, Ms. Kennedy assisted in the design and development of multimedia Web-based training programs for government contracts. She has also been involved in the design and development of distance learning projects for the United Space Alliance/NASA.
Ms. Kennedy holds a master's degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston, and a B.A. in English from Gallaudet University. She is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Capella University, Minnesota, where she expects to receive her Ph.D. in Instructional Design for Online Learning in December 2002.
