Jeffrey E. Horvitz is Vice Chairman of Moreland Management Co., a family investment office. Until 1986, he was Vice President of Hollywood, Inc., a Florida real estate development company. Mr. Horvitz has been listed by ArtNews as one of the top 200 art collectors in the world, and by Art & Antiques as one of the top 100 art collectors in America. He has been a speaker at investment conferences on topics such as investment portfolio structure, asset allocation, taxation of investments, and passive international equity products, and has written on various investment topics.
Mr. Horvitz received a B.A. and M.A. in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania, where he did research at various psychiatric hospitals, and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was a research assistant at one of the first computer research centers dedicated to social science.
In addition to serving as a member of CAST's Board of Directors since 1995, Mr. Horvitz currently serves the following non-profit organizations: Trustee of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Collections Committee of Harvard University Art Museums; Trustee of the Beverly School for the Deaf; Overseer of Tufts University School of Medicine; and Trustee of the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary.
